About Dayna

Dayna Gonzalez is an award-winning Design and Animation Professional with extensive experience developing creative content for children and adults. Dayna has contributed to numerous series productions and projects for companies like Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, HOMER Learning, and Fox. Her work has appeared in Nick Jr.’s Wallykazam!, Blue’s Clues, Wonder Pets!, and Bubble Guppies, Sesame Workshop’s Sesame Street, The Not-Too-Late-Show With Elmo, and Pinky Dinky Doo, among many others.

Dayna has collaborated on commercials, motion comics, ebooks, apps, and games, including an array of educational content for Sesame Workshop’s social impact initiatives and classroom learning programs. She also

Dayna has developed animation pipelines and led creative teams, including as Supervising Animation Producer of Blue’s Clues Nursery Rhymes, a 52 episode 3D animated short form series for Nick Jr. Dayna also served as Animation Director and Game Developer for Batman Brawl!, a Punch-Out style boxing game featuring characters from the TV series Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

In the education space, Dayna has shared her joy of learning with art students at SVA and guest lectured at CUNY, Pratt, and Touro College. She is actively involved in the local artistic community and has volunteered for organizations such as The Ink Well Foundation, Women in Animation, and ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d’ Animation), including a term as Co-President and Web Manager of ASIFA-East.

Dayna is classically trained in film and animation. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA), as well as SUNY FIT’s Web Design Certificate Program. In 2018, Dayna gained an Udacity Nanodegree in Front End Web Development as part of Grow with Google’s Developer Scholarship Program. Dayna’s passion for art has been with her since childhood, and she enjoys seeking new forms of creative expression.
